The NX range

Five decks across two generations. The naming is not decorative: the number is the generation, the letter after the slash is the trim. An /S is stock, a /T is tuned, an /X has the fold table unrestricted. A D prefix means a bare bench board with no enclosure.

01How to read a deck code

Line

Every deck we have made. There is no second line and we are not planning one.

Generation

G1 to G5 so far. The generation fixes the silicon and the Hotfloor floor.

Trim

/S stock, /T tuned, /X extended. Trim sets block count and fold table width.

Bench board

No case, no thermal solution, 60% duty cycle. NXD-5 is an /X on a bare board.

Which one

Learning, or a second deck: the NX5/S. Sixteen blocks and full Hotfloor. It will not carry a Sentry-class job and the specification says so rather than hiding it in a footnote.

Working: the NX5/T. Two thirds of the flagship’s credits, 58% of its throughput, and ten decibels quieter. Most people who buy an /X should have bought a /T.

Everything at once: the NX5/X. Nineteen residents, forty-one effective blocks, and forty-one decibels of fan. Buy it if the work is wide, not if the room is shared.

Budget: the NX4/T, last generation at this generation’s discount, firmware supported to July 2033.

05Ordering, support window, end of life

How a deck is ordered

Your yard’s supply desk raises a quote against a deck code and a quantity. Credits settle on the yard account on despatch. There is no checkout on this site, we do not take card details, and we never ask for a personal account.

Firmware support window

Four years from the last unit of a generation leaving the line. G4 firmware is supported to July 2033. G1 and G2 are out of support and out of parts; we will say so rather than take the repair.

Warranty

Twelve months on every deck, parts and labour, no registration required. The incumbent gives thirty-six. That is a real difference and it is priced in, not argued away.
